• Images you upload — processed solely to remove backgrounds. Never stored beyond 1 hour.
• Account information — email address and name when you sign up for a paid plan.
• Usage data — number of images processed, feature usage, and general analytics.
• Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see your card details.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the background removal service
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send product updates and important notices (you can opt out anytime)
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Image data

Images you upload are sent to our AI processing service solely to remove backgrounds. Images are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 1 hour of upload. We never use your images to train AI models, and we never share them with third parties.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Payment processors — to handle subscription billing
• Infrastructure providers — to host and operate the service (e.g. Vercel)
• AI processing — image data sent to remove.bg solely for background removal

5. Data retention

Uploaded images are deleted within 1 hour. Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure upon request.

6. Your rights

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies strictly necessary to operate the service (session management and authentication). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
